Pros +
- Great location. The river nearby is beautiful. Staffs speak limited English but they got a translate machine in front desk. One of the cheapest options in the area.
- The rooms are very clean and have proper amenities. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The hotel is also close to major neighborhoods/attractions and train stations.
- very close to the station, steps away to Kamo river, shopping, convenient store and restos around. staff at the reception was nice and humble enough to explain everything in English. room was tiny just good enough for me to move around. for a solo traveller i’d rather stay here with a private bathroom
Cons -
- The bathroom smelled. I can still smelled it after they cleaned the room.
- The rooms are on the smaller side so travelers should be aware of this.
- The main street was busier than I had expected, but the room was very quiet.

central location, convenient transport, helpful staff, nice laundry
I shipped my bags directly to the hotel from Haneda airport so it was a very pleasant walk from the station to the hotel. There is a fun garden to tour about halfway to the hotel. I liked being near the river and close to the many temples and gardens. Great place for the tourism walks. I also used the hotel to assemble my bike and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

Bfast was v limited. Could be improved. Fruit, Cereal.
Morning checkout should be 11 am.
super convenient location (subway exit and bus station right in front of it), tatami instead of flooring, you get a sofa and plenty of space to store clothes. front desk staff are nice and disposed of my broken suitcase for 500¥. free laundry service.
i was surprised (negative) to find men’s hairs all around the room (im a woman so they couldn’t be mine) on the floor, in the sink, in the bathtub. im not a picky person and don’t expect a squeaky clean room but it was kind of gross
Staff was polite, helpful, excellent. Breakfast was wonderful. Location is perfect—close to subway station.
Very good location, close to subway line, only a few blocks from bus stop. It was very quiet.
Location
I found some hairs in the bathroom, it was disgusting and the space was sooo small even to Japan
Excellent location, friendly and helping personnel, decent facilities, simple but tidy rooms
Mold on the shower curtains
Location was great, breakfast is good. Tatami sleeping so great experience.
Room are too small, feel stuffy, window is facing a wall. Don't go there if you have big suitcase.
Just a 1-minute walk from the subway! The hotel has two convenience stores right next door and offers free drinks all day. The room, bathroom, and lounge were clean, but the aircon was a big problem—on top of not working well, it was super dusty and triggered my sinus.
The aircon was a nightmare. It’s positioned to blow directly onto the bed, and despite understanding the Kanji on the remote, it only had two options: freezing cold at full blast or useless blower mode. It was dusty, triggered my sinus, and even kept turning itself back on after I switched it off. My friend in another room had the same problem. Out of all my travels worldwide, this was the worst experience—holiday completely ruined.
I got blood-stained bedsheets one night - which to their credit, the person at the front desk did resolve quickly. The real issue though is that every room comes with bunk beds. I'm young and in shape and I did not have an easy time getting into the upper bunk after a long day of walking, and I imagine that someone who's middle-aged might struggle or even risk falling and getting injured.
The location was super convenient, right near everything we needed. Great customer service and amenities. The space was clean, modern, and we really appreciated being able to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out!
The only con was that the water would randomly get cold sometimes, not a huge issue but worth noting!
staff was helpful. good laundry service.breakfast was "okay" - few choices, coffee not that good - but at least it was plentiful
room was EXTREMELY small. considering also that you cannot place luggage on the tatami mat, opening a carry-on sized luggage is borderline feasible, while fully opening any larger piece of luggage is not just uncomfortable, it's literally impossible.weird cleaning policy. to "save energy" they clean only every 3 days, but they do provide new towels every day - which I would've thought was the energy-hungry part, but also mostly unnecessary as we were okay with using the same towels for 3 days.furthermore we did need cleaning before the scheduled date - on both mornings we left the message on the door (as per instructions) but no cleaning was performed. actually the cleaning was not performed even on the scheduled date. basically we stayed 5 days without any cleaning.by the way our mattress had a hole. and the window overlooked a wall which was ~50 cm far.at least it was kinda cheap...
It’s a great location. The room was small, but it had everything you needed, and for the price, having a private room is amazing! The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. I can definitely recommend it!
Good location, nice breakfast.
The tatami matt in the room made us shuffle our baggage around every time we had to leave or enter the room - it was a little annoying as there was so little space in the room without the tatami where we could keep the baggages.
Location is very good, between two train stations. Of all the hotels we used in Japan, this one had the most room, spacious. There are shops and restaurants around the location. Staff are very nice and speak English. Again paid laundry is available. They didn't seem to have an inhouse cafe.
Beds and Pillows were very hard, almost flat. We had to ask for extra pillows. There is no Tea/Coffee facilities in the room but available downstairs from early morning to mid morning. You can make a cup and take it up to your room.
The location was convenient. There was a convenient store down stair and a bus stop in front of the gate. The was charming and very suitable for taking a break when having a long journey. The staffs were so friendly and willing to provide me with useful information. Additionally, they also provide free drink and free laundry, which are much helpful for visitors in summer. Next time I will visit the hotel again.
It was fantastic. I have no word to complain.
